Inode, The abortion decision and The Big Lie that Biden would simply wave his hand and do away with student loans made sure there was no red wave. Abortion is huge, but poll after poll showed that it wasn't the top issue on most people's minds. The top two were inflation and the economy, two issues that most people trust the Republicans more than the Democrats to fix. Student loan "forgiveness" is a giveaway to the rich and the "woke." Most Americans recognize this, especially those who have paid off their loans and don't think we ought to be increasing the deficit (and inflation) to buy votes like this. I'll leave you with this: Ron DeSantis and Glenn Youngkin both proved that conservatives can still win elections, even in states that aren't deep red. If only the GQP can turn back into the GOP, 2024 would be a guaranteed win for them. Tenchusatsu
