In my world, stand alone RSI is only used for one thing. The patterns in RSI. RSI 8 is the best setting as it show the patterns the best. You can change the indicator imputs but the purpose of the indicator is to tell you something. So you have to say how you are reading it.

I've been enjoying this thread because you've focused on long term investing ideas. CCJ, LEU, etc. I'd love to see it develop further in this direction.

Trading is a crucial part of investing, but I personally try to keep it simple. If this thread goes that direction I'll probably be going elsewhere.
