How did he buy Russian stocks? They were frozen here. I haven't had an updated quote on gazprom since then. I said they were a buy back then too.

Thanks. It is always good to be good in hated/uncrowded areas. There are a couple of guys who do it for tankers with really amazing results. I would subscribe to the tankers, or based on what you are saying to Kuppy's, except that I don't have enough background to groke what they are saying. And I am not the kind of person who can just buy/sell what someone else is recommending without deeply understanding it. If I build the background, then I will. Despite what it may sometimes seem, I care more about the macro and the fundamentals than the technicals. I use the first two to narrow the field and then use TA to pull the trigger. There are people who are pure technicians or pure fundamentalists, but that is not me. I'd like to get confirmation from multiple angles.
