They've got nothing big except for Riven, PrintShop, 3-d architect, Carmen Sandiego, MYST and JPIII. Family Tree Maker is probably providing some nice revenue. And the names you mention after "except" aren't too shabby either. jas

Tom, I was not sure what to think of the BROD/MPRS rumor that was posted the evening that MPRS reported bad earnings. It kind of sounded like a desperate attempt by someone who had just bought MPRS at 2 3/4 to keep the price propped up. I seriously doubt that BROD would offer $7.50 a share for MPRS - even if they needed the games badly. As we know with the GTIS, the street would severely punish BROD stock if they overpaid for MPRS. I looked at the chart for BROD, they have already come down in price alot in the past few months. I think a reasonable takeover price would be 160 million for MPRS (if you assume last quarters 15 million revenue was a fluke and quarterly revenues should be 20 million from here on, then 160 would be 2X annual revenue.) Which would be 5 1/4 a share. GTIS's bid of 250 million was insane. I agree, ATVI is doing fine on its own. I tend to only invest in companies that are extremely undervalued, and don't feel ATVI is at the moment. Also, it is a dangerous time to hold a game stock - games stocks tend to peak at christmas and hit lows during the summer months. I picked up 20 Feb 10 call options this past summer when ATVI was at 11 3/8 (sold a while back for 130% profit). I will probably wait and see what ATVI is at next august/sept and decide whether to take a position then for the Chistmas run-up. Its kind of a cynical attitude, but historic odds are against holding a position at this time. Even if ATVI holds up well through the summer, one of the other game companies will have gotten squashed and there will be some opportunity. I am actually amazed that one of the game companies hasn't tried a hostile takeover of MPRS with shares trading at $2. As you said, the company could be bought for 65 million at the current market price. I don't see how MPRS can fail to rally atleast 50% from these levels. The only thing I can think of that would prevent me from making money on my MPRS position is if ATVI got control of "Civilization" after the court battle, then MPRS would be doomed. JV.
