Hi Jimmy:
I would like to use your words from a post in August 1996 as an
example of what happens to an analyst from Dean Witter when he tries to predict Dells future price
<<<<< Even after such a run up this year it is safe
to buy at this level. It pulled down in October, November last year from about $50 a share, so basically this has been a catching up so far. With a steady growth of 20-25% (as Michael Dell can see it) there is quite a ride to come. Dean Witter has a target of $75 by the mid of the next year. So under good circumstances it'll get to $95-$105 >>>>>
OK so far, and the result was that after two splits( Dec and July), in mid 1997 Dell reached $103, or $412/sh adjusted, $337 higher than the DW targeted $75 for a $50 stock..
Since you attended the stockholders meeting and asked Michael
a question, I assume you enjoyed the the ride and continue to do so.

Now the same analysts( only a lot more of them) will use their same old formulas , P/E's, ROI's, to get a new estimate, the last being a short term goal of $110 or $120. I think I would rather use a gourd.
