A better outcome than many others. However, the "sad part" is that this guy lives in a local and state system allowed him to continue to own guns after showing his stripes. It's a culture of "that's okay, this is going to happen sometimes, but not to me or my family." The fact is - it does affect them, and the people who don't own guns. I said we'd get out of Iraq (or Afghanistan) when the "thoughts and prayers" wall in their churches filled up. At some point - people have to just get tired of this like most people on the Left have. That hasn't happened yet. I don't know how much longer it will take but it seems to be years if not decades. Clinging to their religion and guns was an apt, if impolitic, characterization. It is a poison that much of that society is addicted to.
