Of course you will always find exceptions to the rule .... but I think it makes more sense to look at the "big picture" and with an historical context. At the moment the DOW is trading with PE's that are nuts. Some stocks have PE's that are truly out of sight (eg, AOL) ..... if one is to "make sense" of the market, IMVHO I think one has to look at it from the an historical perspective as well as a the present moment.

It appears the DOW is banging its head again - down as I write this. Who knows where we will go .... but I'm betting that there is much more downside to the DOW than upside.
