When I first saw the ad in real time with Steph Curry and Shaq talking about FTX, I thought it was Curry being smart to say he knew nothing....

But AFTER watching this video replay, I see he did come out and say it was SAFE... implying to me he checked it out and what he put there was safe, even for people who know nothing about crypto...

He's a great basketball player and I've watched nearly every game he's played on TV after his first season... but he's crap as an investor. I think Underarmor has done poorly since he took stock and money to promote that brand rather than Nike... and if he was paid in crypto to do the ad, he's probably hoping he is not held liable for saying it was a safe place to put your crypto currency.

Now I may be wrong about this, but I seem to recall some athletes were demanding to be paid in cryptocurrency in the not so distant past. I'm mainly thinking NFL, but some other sports may be involved as well. I presume (because I don't really know) that any player(s) that may have chosen "cryptobucks" over the US$ and actually "received" compensation in that manner are likely SOL as far as recovering any and/or all (if any) crypto losses... Maybe a possible claim for losses on their income tax filings??? Am I right?

EK!!!

So on these I definitely hold Crash O'Leary to a higher standard on anything financial related. However on a micro level I can only tell when O'Leary is talking nonsense is when his lips are moving.

Anyway in general all of these suits are frivolous in my opinion. Everyone pushing blame elsewhere. Even Canada has be one far more litigeous. Noone willing to understand they made a bad decision. BUT A FINANCIAL PERSON PUSHING A FINANCIAL PRODUCT. He called it garbage until they gave him 18 million.

I would prefer he disappear but sadly that would mean in the summer he would be at his summer home more and that would not be good either given his boating skills. I would be lying if I said I had many friends on his lake but I know of lots of nice people there lol. I think many of them destest him as much as I do.

Its a stretch to hold someone liable if they are just doing ads. However if someone say has shares in something and as a celeb uses their influence to pump so to speak to sell out then it really is similar to a P&d.

But a finance person that's a different story and as you might tell Mr wonderful not on my fave list nor is Musk
