Wow, Ken sounds like a great neighbor and friend. I'm sorry for your loss. You'll have great memories every time you use is tools which is one part of temporary immortality... This afternoon, rather than hike, I'll get started on starting repairs on half my yard that was taken out by the oak tree. I'm waiting to hear from the insurance adjuster if they pay for a trellis rebuild or just some cash for the old trellis. Same with my storage shed, hot tub and many raised garden beds. First order of business is getting the drip system working on the hanging baskets that don't get rain under the eves and still need a bit of water in the winter if we get a dry spell... almost all the lines were broken and many of the distribution hubs in the raised bed were trashed also. Good thing there is no rush there until maybe April or May... Merry Christmas to you and Jan too!
