I seriously considered getting ISDN. Pac Bell even sent me a half ream of inf. about how great it was. I ended up so dazed and confused I turned tail and ran....but I feel your pain! <GG>

Jim, where did you test your satellite connection? I couldn't disagree with you more. It is a steal of a deal. I downloaded a 2MB file in about 30 seconds. USENET is also unreal. Huge posts in a wink. I think ISDN is a major ripoff next to the cost of the dish. Maybe you tried the old ISA version? I have the PCI DirecPC. Unless you need the speed during the day, or do a lot of uploading, ISDN is no comparison.
