Right now, we're blocking in the sun, and that's starting to backfire, too. Geoengineering is a Hail Mary pass. The longer it takes to become FF-free, the more likely it is that we will throw one.

My opinion is Sci Fi has traditionally been VERY bad at predicting the future.
