Bill, actually I have tried to do a good job over the past couple of years to research this who-got-what-from-where issue over the development of Macintosh versus Windows GUI. Now, I have only reviewed published information and a few private correspondences with technical types at Apple and Xerox, nothing new just corroborating. But I have not found any information regarding MSFT licensing any technology from Xerox PARC for GUI. So, I would be really grateful if you could provide me with any reference to this, whether published or anecdotal. Thanks.
