The way I saw it was the white team was taking foul shots at the purple teams basket, correctly, and missed both attempts. The purple team rebounded and should have turned and dribbled the other way, as most indeed did, but the girl with the ball had a brain fart and scored in her own net which is two points for the white team.

What should have happened next was the embarrassed purple team would then inbound the ball from under their basket, and dribble the other way. Instead the girl from the white team after seeing the purple team score in the wrong net also had a brain fart and thought that was her basket so inbounded the ball from there. A lot of times sports is all about muscle memory. Fyi teams change directions only once during the game, at half time.

The funniest part imho is the ref also had a brain fart and should have stopped play immediately to re-establish proper team direction but didn't, until probably a coach yelled out the mistake. You could see the players were also confused.
