Both of these sources missed the point. They concentrate on what Intel DIDN'T do - and not no what Intel HAS DONE!

Intel isn't building 75 cent margin chips in fabs that cost 2 Billion Dollars.

As for Tom Kurlak - is he unaware of Intel's new products? He talks about Intel's customers demanding low cost chips and he completely ignores the fact that these customers are going to be buying the newer, higher priced Deschutes/Pentium II chips, 440BX chip sets, along with the new i740 graphics chips, etc.

I guess Intel's quarterly earnings will again be necessary to give Kurlak "proper guidance".
