Also, half the country doesn't pay any federal income tax so Biden is correct, this would be an immediate 30% inflation less whatever is not payed in payroll taxes. It would be a real killer to retired people just getting buy who ALREADY paid for their Social Security and Medicare with 50 or 55 years of payroll taxes. Now they'll have to pay again when they spend money? No way this will happen, not even the GOP is that stupid. My guess is it is an opening salvo where the GOP doesn't want the "fix" for SS and Medicare to be eliminating the cap on income to fund a good retirement for the working class.
