Nobody will respect you when you don't respect others.< Last time I checked we lived in a democracy and a relatively free country. While it may not be nice to gossip and speculate about the private lives of PUBLIC FIGURES it is certainly a time honored way of passing the time and expressing disapproval. I have seen some excellent political cartoons from the 18th century which certainly bore on the private lives of the individuals portrayed. You are railing against human nature.
