Bears are wrong more often than not, usually since the markets go up most of the time.

I've heard perma bulls say we are in a confirmed bull market yet I have yet to see it raise 20% from a low so they are "persistent" too.

My rough calculation says it will take about 4200 to be a cyclical bull in what could be a secular bear... we won't know if the secular bear is over until we beat the old high around 4800... Given how dysfunctional the country is, have you heard the latest out of SF where they formed a committee of I think it was 15 people who all "look the same" and they surprisingly agree that people of their race should each get $5M from the city? I can't believe anyone would have stood for such a monochromatic committee in a well diversified SF except for this... SMH...

Anyway... I think this says we're still in an "official bear market" until it is up 20% from the low and most use a closing basis while I use intraday as this chart shows.

I am curious where "the bear" said 4100 would never be seen. If you are talking about me, perhaps, I should clear it up for you. I believe, of course, that 4100 will be seen again. I do not believe it will be until this bear market is over and I don't believe this bear will be over for many months to come. My target for the end of this bear remains 2200 as I stated in Jan. 2022. I also believe that my initial call for a bottom of 2200 may not be low enough.
Once this bear market is complete, we will experience a tremendous bull market and then you can call me "the bull". lol
Here is a question for you. How many bottoms for this correction would you estimate that you have called since 4818, the Jan. 2022 high?
Up to this point those calls have all been wrong.
Your latest is Oct. 13, 2022 @ 3491.58. We will see.
