Lucas,

Don't know about you, but here is what "First Call Estimate" says about the stock:

FCE Recommendation: Strong Buy

Annual Projected Growth Rate: 36%

Earnings:

Mar98Q = .26
June98FY = 1.00

Zachs has a "BUY" recommendation on the stock too. Bottom line, its PE is still below annual growth rate. Anyway, good luck!

Lucas: My goodness. That was quite an outburst.

A reasonably intelligent person might surmise that you tend to get a bit overly emotional about your investments.

We'd love to hear a rational explanation of what makes you think this stock should be sold. Just the fact that it "has been going down since the last earning" doesn't carry enough weight in this neighborhood.

Personally, I think this stock will make a good run within the next 6 months. I was hoping for 45-50 prior to the quarterly report. It made it to the lower level of that range. Unfortunately, I didn't sell it at that level. I did, however, buy more at the 31 level. We are now back down here again, and I'm considering picking up another chunk. Why? Because the Y2K sector is very close to liftoff. And, VIAS is one of the premier tool providers in the mainframe sector, along with CA, CPWR, and PLAT.

Since you have already sold your VIAS shares ... and from the sounds of it, at a sizable loss ... you'll need another place to park your dollars. Good luck with whatever else you decide to invest in.

Regards,

TED

buy it back lucas !!! .... as quick as you can (like tues morn !!)

for what its worth, i'm borrowing money to buy vias, (i'm already margined to the max in my stock account).

vias got wacked not because of its better than expected earnings,
but because of some account receivables problems for the last quarter reported. with a pe of 29 and a growth rate in excess of 37% - this
stock is a no brainer !!!

all of the other major y2k players, of which vias is one, are at lofty levels. the banks must be y2k compliant by the end of this year. i think its only a matter of minutes before the big money comes back !!!

vias is just making a double bottom right now (imo).
in closing, BUY NOW !!!

good luck and cheers to all vias longs

<< held .. for more than four years...I had enough .. I cut it !!!! >> Thanks! I've been waiting for one of those classic buy signals. Long-term investors selling out on 1st pull-back after 1st rally from a long-term low.
Will the low at 29 3/4 need re-testing before next up-leg?
I had been hoping for a test of 27 1/2. May be too much to ask.

Good luck!
Herbert
