My gut tells me if I had kids without ANY comorbidities AND I was a young parent without any either, then it might not be worth the added risk of Myocarditis to vaccinate the kids, but I'd probably still get one.

But if they had grandparents or caregivers (I'd say a very large majority of LatinX and AA caregivers here are obese to severely obese which is one of the highest risk factors after being over 85 yrs old) then it might be worth the risk to protect others I'd care about.

Here I think kids were forced to get vaccines because the super powerful teachers' unions didn't want to go back to work in an "unsafe environment"... which was probably an unintended consequence of getting full pay for not working or "working from home." That cohort also seemed to have an above average incidence of obesity and severe obesity, something I noticed when my mother was a teacher and shared class and staff photos... just amazing the "growth" over the decades.

As for masks and social distancing... Unless you were anal like me and had N95s from the start, knew how to wear them AND avoided crowds, parties, etc. during the worst of it... and actually followed through (I told my GF I'd try to protect her 94 yr old mother by being cautious) for most, especially kids, the masks were useless other than as reminders to wash their hands, don't get too close to friends, etc... My observations hiking by a K-6 school... most ignore that too. Heck, I'd watch the basketball players and coaches try to give interviews while wearing masks and it was a joke to see them constantly fall below the nose. With the amount they pay their medical team... they had to know their useless mask wearing was virtual signaling so they could play and get paid.

Trouble is there is so much politics, virtual signaling, fear of getting cancelled, etc... that few would speak out. I spoke out a bit about some of Santa Clara Counties incorrect statements on masking, effectiveness, etc. with emails and social media replies... not sure I helped but they did eventually come around to some of my ideas.

Having to read the actual study yourself... I've found the same. It is also the same with what the news reports politicians say and do... There is so much lying and taking out of context it is no wonder nobody trusts "the other side"... what is sad is most aren't smart enough to admit they can't trust "their side" either.
