I went to the dentist Tuesday and had a tooth extracted, a cadaver bone fragment inserted, and will get an implant in the near future.

I had two 5mg valium, one an hour before the operation, and one just before the operation. I had nitrous during the novacaine injections due to bad swelling from the infected crown.

I started to hyperventilate toward the final ten minutes of the procedure (suturing the bone). Then after finished, my body shook for about thirty minutes uncontrollably. I thought I might die. I was very cold and couldn't get into a state of normal relaxation. The dentist suspects I went into shock just at the very end, and gave me oxygen for ~15-20 minutes when I finally calmed down.

The next day I was fine, but that was super scary.

Glad to be of use. Musk keeps secrets to not alert the competition... but I like to invest where the puck is going and so trying to think like he does makes sense. Back in 2000/2001 I had an idea to make an energy company to use the HP labs building on Deer Creek Rd in Palo Alto after HP left... I designed a passive solar collector that kept my hot tub at 106F in the Spring through Fall... and wanted to use that to attract investors and other engineers I had worked with. People wanted to hire me to lead R&D but only one VC took a look at it and he was more interested in getting into the pants of the gal who said she would marry me if I got his money and she could be my 1st employee... After we met and he wasn't interested she left with him... must have been an Asian version of Liz Holmes... Anyway, my goal was to build a battery that would collect solar or buy PG&E power when it was the cheapest to use when power was more expensive and pay for the battery and electronics with money saved on power bills. It seems Musk figured out how to do this by getting money for something far more sexy than hot tubs... high performance autos that you could snooker CA lawmakers into subsidizing.... He's brilliant and he's taken it upon himself to solve the problem of lower fertility rates in educated communities, all by himself!

I was still trying to do with Suite101 what Zuckerberg and others did with FB so I didn't chase the power company idea or take any of the job offers. Zuck won and 101 went under (I like to think because they didn't follow my ideas, especially about lying to employees about how much money they could make selling online content.) I had fun and sure admire Musk and Zuckerberg and the others who managed to get their ideas into 100+ billion dollar companies...
