" Nothing will stop climate change" Let me finish that statement. ... unless we get rid of the sun. Other than conserving water which is a good idea in general your post is delusional. You are all in on the Climate hoax arent ya? Wow!

Doren, I get your points, but I don't think any of that will refill Lake Mead. Because despite what you said, it isn't easy at all.

First of all, at least here in California, agriculture consumes the vast majority of water from reservoirs. Residents and commerce consume much less. Telling rich people to conserve may make us feel better, but that only represents a small percent.

Second, without some major breakthroughs in technology, we are not going to stop the climate from changing. Conservation is good, but again, that amounts to only a small percent of CO2 emissions. And even if we achieve Gavin Newsom's all-EV utopia, our overall carbon footprint will only be reduced by half.

Third, climate change is a global problem. Even if we cut our carbon emissions to zero, we're not going to make up for the increases in carbon emissions coming out of China and India, two countries that are rapidly developing and getting more and more of their own citizens into first world living conditions.

Don't get me wrong. Most everything you said are good things to practice. Unfortunately for Lake Mead and other reservoirs that are drying up, we'll just have to adapt to a new reality.

And that's always been my position on climate change. It's much easier and more viable for us as humans to adapt to a changing climate than to prevent it.

Ok well I'll keep taking my 2 or 3 minute full flow shower while you take your 8 minute low flow dribble shower. I'm guilty and love it. How much reparations do I owe society :)

You tore out your perfectly good lawn?? Green life inhales our co2 and produces oxygen that we breathe, as well as support diverse insect and bacteria life. You destroyed a whole little eco system. How dare you !! :)

I do commend you for being as self sufficient as possible, and for tending to your own back yard which is all we really can control after all.

And I wouldn't say ignorance and selfishness. More like indifference, our little actions in life account for nothing in the end. We see ourselves as our species truly is, inconsequential in the bigger picture. You see us in a different light I do understand that, and I can do nothing to change your mind.
