A lot of CRE and related companies seem pretty beat up. I have BXMT, STWD, BRSP, UNIT, VNO-M on watch list and even bought a little UNIT today off this blurb:
benzinga.com

I guess they didn't answer the "are they bargains or yield traps" question. I guess time will tell. Maybe slowly build a position in some of these because even if they are cheap, they seem to be in the "cheap and getting cheaper" category.

Oh, Burry’s incarnation is back. Hope to see more of your post again. Congrats to you for your kids.

No opinion on PXD but like and own PBR-A and watching SU.

Hi Dr. Ipsofacto. Agree with Spekulatius. Nice to see you back, and see the brief summary of a significant seven years of your life.

I'm a buyer of oil/gas stocks including adding to my position in PXD which you mentioned; it should do well with appreciation and good dividends if - when - oil comes back.

A few of my very small spec positions are ENVX also as you, and SRUUF (bet on uranium), ASTS (space-based cellular broadband network for mobile phones), EE (LNG services), LAC (lithium miner), EVVTY (gambling), PLUG (hydrogen fuel) applications).

Ot (not a value stock): ENVX. "Enovix Corporation designs, develops, and manufactures lithium-ion batteries." Batteries for watches, phones, wearable monitoring equipment.

Supposedly this start-up has superior technology to other battery makers. Chairman TJ Rogers has built and managed several other business, so people are hoping and betting on him to succeed again.

Earlier in the year, the company announced production delays, and that cratered the stock. It's come back somewhat; it got a small bump today when the company announced it's aheard of it's production goals.

The company has no revenue, and it will need to make and sell lots of these batteries if it is going to be successful. Maybe starting in 2024.

I'm upping my tracking position with a small buy.
