I agree on salt. I decided to deliberately cut down on salt for various reasons awhile back and now find
many foods are way too salty. It really does creep up on people when they don't pay attention. Rather like the sugar/refined carb addictions.

I also do much better when I cut way back on bread. I don't have a gluten problem but the carbs in most breads definitely affect me negatively. I occasionally use Lavash for sandwiches, a lot fewer carbs in that.

--that said, everyone is different. We all have our own 'idiot-syncracies'...

Sorry to hear that.

You need salt in your diet to survive.. 1500 mg per day is the lowest amount to keep the electrolytes in balance. I had a session with my dietitian today. That's what the meals on wheels, the sodium levels are on the dinner. I use a weight scale for other foods that use weight for sodium levels. So a scale and calculator are my best friends.

All I did all day was changed the water in my humidifier and made boiled eggs. Too weak to do much more. I go to bed at 7:30 - 8:00 every night. Its 1:17 out west.

One thing about Scleroderma, aka Systemic sclerosis. It affects the entire body. Lots of people think it's a heart a lung disease. It is far worse than that, it is a connective tissue disease. It can affect the brain as well.My symptoms started in 1984, I was in martial arts and rock climbing, when my hands and feet were hit with Ranauds I had to quit. The pain was too bad. Then it went after the esophagus, and the list goes on and on.

I am glad your sister is doing well. I opted out in 2021 for a lung transplant, as I could not stand the side effects of the anti rejection drugs. Lost of 3 front teeth as the body started to attack the roots.

I am sure your sister has a pile of problems as well. My aunt had itl, she lasted 1 year. I am lucky I lasted this long. The the end is coming. I made my peace with the Lord.
