Gene, There is about 250,000 tons of silver in Indaia, in Dower jewellery and personal stuff, not the 110,000 tons mentioned in the article.
It was Indian sales that killed the Hunts. I think part of the problem is the high US $ has exacerbated the recent silver price rise versus local Indian currency. So there is some selling, but not much. 1.7 tons in 3 days is 500 tons a year, peanuts compared to the 250,000 tons held there.

However psychology is all, and the price might just fall some more. Or it will rise some more.??
