>>I've thought about collusion...Whatta deal! Collect your ten mil, harasser and harassee, flee to Brazil..<

Now Janice, are you saying Clinton doesn't comfortable with his current pension plan?

Janice, Michael and All,

What a coincidence! Yesterday, I mentioned the 6 million awarded a woman in her SH suit against a San Francisco law firm. You'd think these law firms would get a clue, or something. <vbg>

Janice, I hope you're feeling better and that your flu bug got the message, even without the cranberries.

Janus,

The $81 million figure is true. I heard several reports about it on the news last night.

Janice, I know it seems nuts, but it's true. I'll try and find a link to the story when I get a chance.

By the way, yesterday I filled up the car for 92 cents a gallon. :-)

I have heard there is a 30 cent a gallon tax in Washington state for each gallon. Let's see that puts gas at about the 1975 price range again. Amazing huh?

I thought the environmentalist said we would be out of oil 15 years ago. <GGG>

.I was just outside a while ago, and some neighbor kids breathlessly informed me that they had just seen Tonya Harding on our street. They said she has been visiting a guy who lives within line of sight from my porch, about 100 yds away. One boy about 10 yrs old produced a piece of paper with her autograph -- apparently one of the kids thought they recognised her, and so one of the braver girls went up to the house and knocked on the door and said, "is Tonya Harding here?" Out she came and gave an autograph to the boy "Tim" who asked. Now I just went outside and her truck (white Ford 4WD with big monster tires) is there again. Ohhhhweeeee! Tim asked me if he could sell her autograph, and how much it would be worth -- I smiled very big and said, "weeeeeeellll"....-GG- I told him he should just keep the autograph, as money would be spent soon and be gone.

With regard to the 81M award: A driver that she supervised, in a dispute with her, punched her in the breast. The driver was released. Everything was ok at that point. But then after a few weeks he was reinstated. And she began to be harassed by her superiors and other workers. The environment of stress caused her to leave UPS. As I recall the award was for $500,000 in damages, with an additional award of 80M as penalty to UPS. Needless to say UPS is appealing. Whether or not she ends up collecting this sum, at the very least, the jury was not amused.
