As Upton Sinclair noted long ago ... It can be difficult for someone to understand something if their economic well being depends on not understanding it. More farms in ND is solving a problem we don't have. We don't have to guard the Middle East oil if we don't use much oil. Houses in the desert are easier to heat in the winter. There are more answers to our problems than just burning fossil fuels.
