HI kirk,

Jan and I spent two days in Austin visiting our neighbor in her new assisted living facility - very nice place.

Austin's traffic is horrible. It is exploding and in a big way, becoming Texas' silicon valley - Austin is referred to as Edward's Plateau and/or "Hill Country". So it really is a Silicon Hill.

Going to Corpus Christi is smart. A lot of refining and chemical/plastic being made there. Not to mention Spacex launch pad and Bezos launching zone as well.

Austin has long been horrendous for having many deed restrictions, which increase project's costs, so they will make the new transfers from California somewhat at home. <smile>

California's new progressive electricity bills is just one more wealth transfer that feeds its insatiable progressive tendencies.

Is there any concern that one should get out, while the land still has value?

I wonder that from a very far away concern - could well be my paranoid imagination.
