Janice and All Who are Visually ChallengeD

Janice, your comment about glasses and contact lenses reminded me of this poem hiding in the depths of my depraved hard disk. It's something I'm sure many of us can well relate to (I didn't write this; it's another Holly):

Another world is mine, that none else see,
Cast from a softer, stranger, sweeter mold,
Created by some laughing god for me
Alone - its colors bright, its textures bold
Impressionistic sweeps. I look at trees
Like Renoirs, vivid splashes tossed against
The towering, thundering, watercolor cease
Of sky. New-washed, chalk-drawn - my world - unfenced,
Unlined, unsigned, it bears no scars of men.
Its velvet folk, androgynous, unflawed,
Move with a boneless grace from home to glen.
I stand and watch in joyous wonder, awed.
I need no spacebound ship, no mystic passes
To reach my world. I just take off my glasses.

she's OUR AGE,

Whoa, how old are you Janice? I think I was just a kid in high school when Lynda was bouncing around on TV. That was around 1973 or so. She must have been, say...30 maybe? or 35? I suppose she could have been 20 something, after all anything over 20 is pretty old to a teenage boy of 16 or so. (Course only Ms Latturno's(sp) boy friend would know)

But,here I thought you were a young babe. Sounds like you could be old enough to be my mother! Well..., Ok maybe my aunt. <g>
