Read Replies (1) | Respond to of 220094 hi haim, i rarely comment on Israel except in instances where 'China'-Israel is the topic, because I feel qualified to comment on 'China', and noted before, I depend on you to tell about Israel. Amongst the domains I feel most qualified to comment on Hong Kong. There are several sharp drops in knowledge level at several geographic division lines. Say that I know my immediate neighbourhood of 4 square kilometres, at knowledge index of 95 out of 100, by the time at crossing at HK border, my knowledge level drops to knowledge index 10, and on out, and down. My knowledge of my study area stands at ~98. It used to be the case that I only know Ukraine as the place where they build very large hovercrafts that 'China' bought. Now I think I know a bit more about Ukraine but am not sure. I am guessing I know Ukraine at index ~1 out of 100. I know Israel perhaps at index ~0.5. The Israel you described is very different to the one casual observers are familiar with 'knowledge' gleaned from occasional readings of almost useless and at times counter-useful magazines such as the Economist, further polluted by readings of Foreign Affairs, and made totally nonsensical by daily news flows from rest of MSM. I occasionally read the local Israeli press, but typically in context of regional / international matters and nothing about local issues. Yeah, I am vaguely aware that the Israelis and Palestinians are at it again, and nothing more. However, big however, I am not at all surprised by your description of Israel and its innards, because I cannot be surprised about any discrepancy of truth / nearer-truth and MSM-truth / fake-truth. I basically as a get-set-go premise is that whatever the truth it is not the one we can get at by reading the almost totally waste of time 'popular' press. I do not mean a one-for-1 comparison, but your description of Israel reminds me much of five domains I am more familiar with, namely the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and outlying counties in China in the good old days when I got paid large sums to get investors out of the difficulties they got themselves into. These days I am guessing that China, under Xi Jinping, has been cleaned up quite a bit, thus explaining why I expect no clients for exit services even if I were to look for such. As to Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, I do not know except I know to refrain from making real estate investments in all four places unless I intend to live in the place full-time. However, another big however, I would most likely refrain from involvement in activities not welcomed by the local powers whether I visit or live full time. Should I involve myself in local affairs I must be prepared to move away from which ever domain. Right now there is a US citizen, Gonzalo Lira, under arrest by the Ukrainian authorities, and the USA authorities does not seem to be extending a helping hand to get him released. Yes, a lot of coincidences happen, for Gonzalo's views are contrary to the MSM narrative, and so he rots. Pointing out the obvious, going against the MSM narrative does not lead to tranquility. You must take good care, be ready to move, because 'they' are not nice.
