James, you keep harping about "other people's decency and dignity". Let's start back at the basics, and define dignity:

dignity, n., 1. proud and self-respecting character or manner; stateliness. 2. degree of worth 3. a high office. 4. worth; nobleness. [from The World-Famous Thorndike Barnhart Handy Dictionary]

As someone else already pointed out, dignity is something that is possessed by the person to whom it describes. In other words, if Bill Clinton feels he has dignity, then not one of us can take that away from him. We cannot "deny him dignity".

Now for decency, n., 1. being decent. 2. something decent or proper. [same Dictionary]

Now for decent, adj. 1. respectable. 2. good enough. 3. not severe; rather kind.

Both Clinton and Lewinsky know if they did something decent or proper. So far we have conflicting accounts from them., and I don't need to reiterate what everyone knows to this point. Suffice to say though, that I have heavy doubts as to Clinton's statements thus far, in reiterating that he told the truth to the Paula Jones legal team. We're all still waiting for Monica Lewinsky to please describe her state of mind as she was talking to Linda Tripp.

What do you think, James: You think Monica will say she was out of her mind when talking with Linda Tripp? That she was delusional? That she made the whole thing up? She holds the key. Which way will she turn it? Will she sacrifice her state of mind for Bill Clinton?

DK

James: what is your purpose here? You post up on this thread and no other thread, and you're getting kind of...solid. Do me a big favor. Go back and read the first 1000 posts of this thread. Like right now.

I'm not a cybercop and it doesn't matter who I voted for. When you get into the kind of stuff that you've been fostering here, I have to wonder what you do on your days off.

The purpose of this thread (originally) was to HAVE SOME FUN. If you don't want to have some fun, start your own friggin' thread. If you want to hang around here, then LIGHTEN UP.

And that goes for the rest of you occasional SOLID thinkers. Say what you want, write what you want, and think what you want, but if you want to bring other people down on purpose, stay the f*** away from me and my friends, because I think people that make other people feel bad on purpose are acting evil.

Clear enough?

Sheesh.

Now, once again; everyone:

LET THE GAMES BEGIN

respectfully, pete
