You are going off the Nazi deep end Lee. I'm in awe of you crediting the birth of the greatest generation to the eugenics. Do you also credit the initiation of the world wars and the atrocities that generation committed to the eugenics? You have a lot to learn. Why don't you go and research the BS behind what you just wrote and see how wrong it is. So no, we don't agree when you voice opinions based ignorance and bias rather then logic tempered by humanity. ===== No, the law is not giving you get an out of jail free card because you had some mental breakdown. And no not every or even most murderers and rapists are mentally ill to the point of getting legal concessions. The legal definition of not guilty by reason of mental defect is that at the time of the crime, the defendant was incapable of understanding what he did was wrong. And you don't have to be mentally ill to use that defense. If you've had some adverse reaction to a drug that pushed you off the edge and made you hallucinate, you can still use this defense. BTW, the reason why your DUI cannot justify you running someone over is because before you got drunk you had the ability to judge your action and understand that getting drunk would impair your ability to drive home later on. As well, putting a bullet into someone because you were in rage or even having complete nervous breakdown is not a valid excuse because even in that state you understood that you were killing someone and that it was wrong. And even if you are found not guilty by reason of mental defect, you can still be found guilty of reckless endangerment because you got high and killed someone and so on. And finally, spending indefinite time in mental hospital until you can prove that you are not a danger to the society is no walk in park. So this BS you just put forth is what you need to work on. PS I did some research work for NKI. The area I worked on was brain imaging of the violent criminals to see if we can find something different in their brain. The Nathan S.
