Running for president at the same time as this trial is not a formula for winning. Maybe a Hunter-type plea deal would end it and allow him to run without this hanging over his head.

For argument's sake, let's assume DOJ offers one. What do you think they would settle for? Prison or house arrest, plus retirement from politics? That would leave him with 2 impending indictments and no bargaining power.

"But this is Trump we're talking about. He'll never admit guilt."
