Deliberately it seems. Where are you going? What are the schools like there?

They are destroying the school system.

It's been quite a few decades since I attended public schools. They were pretty bad, even back then. And now... I feel sorry for kids today, being thoroughly brain washed and indoctrinated.

I've always claimed to be somewhat knowledgeable and literate in spite of public "education", not because of it.

"many kids in her grade can't read going into fourth grade"

I blame the teachers not the kids, teachers should be horse-whipped in front of the school.

Parents need to get more pro-active in the basic education of their children and not rely as much on school.

Hard to do when both parents work, therein of course is the real problem.

Until there are no more teacher unions it will only get worse.
