Perhaps its a minor consideration but grabbing a soda or a sugar snack in a convenience store used to be an impulse buy as both could be purchased for pocket change . thats no longer the case and I wonder what the sale decline for these goods has been. As far a marketing goes the local supermarket pharmacy seems to make more of an effort than the nearby Walgreens does. Its a bit sad. When I was a kid the local pharmacy was a lil meeting place with lunch counter and ice cream and milk shakes. They sold comic books and newspapers and magazines. That is all gone now. I guess Costco is the modern day equivalent
