The windsurfing season has been trashed here due to some climate change I don't remember seeing in the 34 or so years I've been windsurfing. The World set records for heat the past two days while here we are cool like it is March with clouds up and down the left coast of the US. If this is global warming, I love how cool it is here in the middle of July... but I do miss windsurfing.

Do you ever watch the rocket launches to get a view of our planet and its atmosphere as Musk's rockets lift payloads into space with the boosters performing SciFi moves to land on drone ships or shore like flying cigars?

William Shatner after returning to Earth after riding into space (As a Bezos Guest) to see that thin layer was reduced to tears after landing trying to explain how small this layer was.

The thin layer of atmosphere made me think of my 80 gallon fish tank. I got tired of paying the power company $30 to $50 a month for the 300W heater in the tank attempting to heat my whole house to tropical fish tank temperature... so I replaced the fish as they died off with gold fish that thrive in cold water...

The tank could support half a dozen fancy gold fish for quite some time between water changes... but they kept growing and growing... some got tumors and died yet I was having to change the water more and more often... Now I just have a single, huge "poopy head" Black Moor goldfish that poops so much that it coats the tank walls and decorations such that I'm changing 25% of the water and cleaning the tank every four weeks.

That Black Moor and fish tank is like our planet... we've go too many people wanting OUR Western lifestyle of heating and cooling our homes with fossil fuels, coal or firewood... then getting some wealth and traveling and commuting with fossil fuel powered cars (Teslas in California still get most of their power from burning natural gas if they charge in the daytime while at the office or traveling,etc...) ...

Today we've got this layer of "poop" all over the planet but nobody is changing our damned water!

The politicians from the left like more poor people as they vote for politicians who favor wealth redistribution so these crooks don't attack the main problem, too many damned people! Bill Gates has spent a ton of his money on this trying to reduce the need for the poor to have HUGE families by vaccinating them so their kids survive to care for them when they are old, but he's vilified by the right wing lunatics.

The best way to reduce your carbon footprint is one the government isn't telling you about | Science | AAAS

More thoughts on changing the water in your fish tank vs breathing farts and drinking polluted water here on Earth...

In 2003, Adam Nieman created this image, illustrating the volume of the world’s oceans and atmosphere (if the air were all at sea-level density) by rendering them as spheres sitting next to the Earth instead of spread out over its surface.
