Thank you IRTHRIFTY for the informative post.

If I were management and was involved in a class action suits
[based upon the stock price plummeting to the $12 range], I'd take
a conservative stance with respect to earnings forecasts. This was
the case with Ascend which had similar suit problems to GIC.
ASND was also sued before meeting last quarter expectations.
After the suits, they learned to deal with the street and analysts.
Subsequently their stock price has moved from $22 to $34.

Hopefully GIC has learned the same lesson and will meet
earnings expectations. If they meet expectations I'd expect
a chain of analyst upgrades thus elevating the stock above
the $20 level soon after the 19th.
