Yesterday NextLevel (NLV) changed it's name to General Instrument (GIC) thus converting their stock symbol back to that of the parent company before the break-up in 1997. General Instrument is starting 1998 with a recent investment from Sony and with good potential for their SURFboard cable-top-box. What does everybody think will happen concerning the approaching battle to supply home PC/Apple internet access & interactive TV? Cable vs. wireless vs. "some copper-phone-wire" system used in Europe, etc.... I think 1998 should be exciting for GIC! louis mason | ||||||||||||||
