What is NATO, a protection alliance against Russia? Some NATO members are allies of Russia. Should the US always commit its military resources to defend every one of the other 30 countries that get attacked by anyone? What if two NATO countries attack each other? Do all the member nations pay their fair share? Should the US pay the bills with money and lives for every conflict that has nothing to do with our country? More than half the member nations are not committed to Article 5. So why are they members? These are the issues with NATO. Have we lost sight of the original intent of the alliance?
