Good Morning Johnny,

My GM at the Chevy store told me a week ago that their inventory levels have doubled from 20 days to 40 days and he anticipates it to build. GM is slowly ramping up production.

I think the pandemic rudely proved to the OEM's what the dealer body had been telling them that it's not market share that totally counts. There is a fine balance between market share and margin that distates maximum profitability.

Memory chip builders learned that a long time ago.

Old established businesses learn the hard way some times.

I'm hopeful of ordering a new pick up next year. Didn't have the nerve to ask while inventories were so low.

As EV's gain more market share, the chip count will grow even more.

I don't think that will be as big a factor in the US as many other places. They will do well in urban markets and delivery vehicles.

Our country has such large geography. It will be lass impactful until range anxiety is resolved and infrastructure is built out if it is built out beyond the urban centers.

Good ole ICE's are quite clean and efficient. Us country folk are far from being sold on EV being the better truck - especially in the cold of winter.

Thanks for the article.

Anxiously waiting for the Cohu website.

Bob
