Nice, very nice!

The workmanship is of course marvelous but the level and complexity of the engineering involved to build such mechanical wonders conceived of in the mind is always more amazing to me!

Also from that era are automatons often made in parallel in the same areas that were making the most complicated timepieces. Have some links somewhere I posted on another thread and will find. A few houses still make modern fancy automatons and they are generally uber rare and expensive like the classical ones were.
