So you think we should've left them slaves? Lincoln was a radical and shouldn't have set the slaves free, sez you. Slaves didn't have the same kinds of love for children and parents that white people have so that breaking up families - as happened with the death of every slave owner - didn't matter. After all the slaves brought from Africa had their families destroyed .... they just like animals without the family feelings that higher beings, whites and asians, have? Besides the kindly masters were training the slaves in skills.
