Lpasko: You may be correct. Intellectual property laws, rules and regulations are complex. I believe Trademark rights are good for ten years. I am not certain of that. The trademark belonging to Asics may very well have expired. Asics will be better able to answer that question.

You could be right about the abandonment issue, trademarks it seems run for 10 years but you cannot register a trademark and never use it or I think you give up your rights to it. I don't think it will be very difficult to find out about this particular one, checking with Asics should resolve the matter of licensing.
