Zeev,

You bomb these facilities in every small nations that
feels threatened by others, or you do it when in your wisdom, the leaders has become
"emotionally unstable"?

As usual, you raise provocative questions. I tend toward the isolationist side, but I then have guilt when I think of the obvious Hitler analogy and what might have happened if we had not stood up against such a monster. But on the other hand, we stood by and let let Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot imprison, torture and kill all of their countrymen they wanted to. I admit to being baffled about our country's taking on the role of global policeman, especially when we are vilified and hated for whatever we do, and maybe it isn't all altruistic. It's a mess. I don't want to think about it tonight. Maybe tomorrow, I'll consider it. Thanks for raising the questions.

Jack

>> How do you stop him, and if you stop him, how do you stop Pakistan and India and all the others that are trying to get into that club?

Trying to get in - they are in. India has had nuclear weapons for years. They now have a first class, long range delivery system as well.

ZEEV:SH did indeed kill a lot of Iranians, BUT THIS WAS DONE WITH US SUPPORT AND APPROVAL. The line that we must attack because he is a butcher is just propaganda. Our only problem with him is that he doesn't obey orders and has a lot of oil that the West is just itching to get its hands on. The Suharto regime in Indonesia has killed millions since it came to power in 1965, but it has always had strong US support until very recently. Why? He was anti-communist and obeyed orders.

The sad fact is that most of the tyrants in today's world enjoy strong US backing. Unless they disobey or become "too big for their britches"

I am now going to say something controversial, but I believe it absolutely. If Hitler were alive today but was sending moslems and communists to the gas chambers instead of Jews, he probably would enjoy strong US support.
