Here's another one. Vladimir Putin plans to rebuild the former Russian empire, US Senator John McCain has claimed. He told presenter Zeinab Badawi that the Russian president aims to separate eastern Ukraine from the rest of the country, which Putin has previously denied, before reclaiming Moldova and the Baltics. The former Republican presidential candidate also criticised President Barack Obama for refusing to supply Ukrainian forces with arms and intelligence, which he claimed had encouraged Putin to take a more aggressive approach within the region.
