We have such idiots running things and the press isn't any better.

I read some story about no new apartment buildings being built here to help with the housing shortage. Not once can I remember any of these articles bemoaning the fact that "the State" forbid evictions and many small investors were crushed so once they cleared their property of bums, they took them off the market except for family and friends. Then even more importantly, all sorts of low income housing tenants didn't have to pay rent and the landlords had to apply to the state to get some of the rent, thus raising our taxes and making it even less affordable here.

So... that is but ONE example of how government is far too expensive and does far more harm than good under the guise of "helping people."
