there may be explanations for that. however, there were absolutely some
with shrinkwrap. and apparently some without...underlying patents
go way back and i have seen numerous shrinkwrapped originals
in pristine shape at astounding collectible prices.

this deals with cassettes, but i am sure the underlying patents would lead one who had a burning desireto find it... to the truth.

something had to be done with the cardboard album jackets to keep the record from falling out,


Didn't we also fold over a corner of the inner paper envelope to let the record go back into the cardboard cover more easily?

This is really getting into some DEEP trivia!
