Insurance companies wouldn't give patients that could benefit from statins those pills FOR FREE if it didn't save them money in the long run. I think the generics run about $50 a year for the insurance companies. Also, some very fit heart doctors I've spoken to take them even if their numbers are below the thresholds.

But, my guess is others will believe aliases afraid to back their words with their real names on the internet who are experts because they said so even though it goes against so many studies it is laughable to question their effectiveness.

I can tell some funny stories about one of the top heart surgeons in the world at Stanford when one of his patients didn't immediately follow his (and my) advice right away... (my advice was to do what the expert recommended but she keep asking bozos on the internet or sisters who have zero medical training...) until she eventually did what was recommended and has had great results after nearly dying and having several falls from the heart not pumping enough blood to the brain. (get a pacemaker...) This MD has the 94 year old on statins and fully vaccinated too...

What is worth looking at is how they got it so wrong about EATING cholesterol. Eggs and cheese are good for you. I've even read grass fed beef can lower cholesterol. My guess is has to do with what we feed most animals to make them fat but not healthy.
