ASND dropped to low 20s. Are these insider sales really insignificant? Please comment!

Peter,

I really doubt these insider sales are significant. They are all a very small portion of the individuals holdings and stock is a good part of their compensation. Also, the visibility on ASND has not been this good for a year.

Like gary mentioned before, and I concur, many insiders sell their shares or a portion of them to raise some liquidity prior to a merger. Normally after a takeover, there are strict restrictions placed on securities as well as the hassle of transferring certificates into shares of the newly formed company. To avoid the hassles (which can go on for 2-3 months) insiders sell prior to a merger just to have some "pocket change" during the period following a merger announcement.....so dont panic..

Besides, the amount of shares sold by the insiders are a mere
pittance compared to the actual number of shares and options they own....so there is not much cause for concern

>>I also remember that last time after Ejabat and others sold at 30s, ASND dropped to low 20s.>>

If memory serves, this drop was exacerbated by Asian worries....

Thank you for the insider selling report. I think it's very important. The insiders often sell at a local maximum coincidentally. Where did you get this report? My Discover (Lombard) account only shows a bunch of selling around end of November.
