Trump had and has a lot of very good ideas and he certainly knows all the tricks developers and others with fortunes use to skew the system to their favor. He was the PERFECT person to be like the NSA hiring early hackers to make their data secure and help the US hack into computer systems of our enemies and friends. That is hire crooks or people at the very edge of pushing the laws to make your system more secure.

Of course, he had zero skills at politics and really only knew how to throw his weight around with people that needed his money. He didn't have life skills to get elected by enough of the moderate middle class who still vote for people they like and can relate to. Relying on hatred and name calling only attracts a certain amount of people and many of his supporters are as lunatic as those who burn down blue cities and loot because they are not blue enough... His opposition is no better such as refusing to take responsibility for their words leading to massive looting of cities... anyway, I digress.

When given the easy opportunity to fix things his ego was too large and he'd not admit or hit the fat, softball pitch. Just this weekend I listened to his interview and he gave his critics a HUGE talking point by refusing to say, "of course the buck stops at the president's desk so all decisions were his to make, even if some of the advice was bad such as when Bill Clinton and George Bush thought Sadam had WMDs." But no, he couldn't do it.

FWIW, I thought he gave a pretty good political answer to the abortion question, he prefers it be done at the state level and any sort of Federal ban should not as severe as "De-sanctimonious's" 5-week ban.
