Tracker, I've had the same problem trying to sign up
for check writing. At least Datek is responding to
your email. Let me know if you have any success.

Tracker: we are on the same boat. And I send them e-mail, twice already, they kept sending me back the instruction how to sign on. It is frustrating.

Tracker: Today I called Datek, after waiting for about 25 mins on the phone and being hang up on twice, they told me signing up for check writing online is still not working yet, and that is the only way one can sign up. That guy told me 3 days from today (2/17) it should work. And keep in mind, they said 3 days since early Feb. What can you say? I feel Datek now is more and more like E-trade. I guess a lot of E-trade customers have come to Datek in hope for a change, only to find out they are more or less the same.

Dear Datek Online Customers:

I would like to thank those of you who have inquired about or signed up for check writing privileges with Datek Online. We have accepted instructions from many customers and are preparing the information to go to the check printer shortly. In order to receive your checks, you must place your order on line. Any requests entered by customers prior to February 28 will enable our check printer to mail the checks by March 31.

I want to thank you all for your patience while we iron out the last minute changes we implemented in order to make this new service a valuable tool in managing your account.

Regards,

Timothy Richter
